Every game starts with a “why,” and mine is simple: to honor my grandfather and share the magic of our fishing trips with the world. Those early morning adventures weren’t just about catching fish—they were about life lessons, patience, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from spending quiet moments in nature with someone you love.

The Road Ahead: A Five-Chapter Journey

I’m structuring the game as five distinct chapters, each building on the lessons and skills from the previous one. Here’s the planned roadmap:

Chapter 1: Hometown Waters

Target: End of September 2025

This is where it all begins. You’ll learn the basics of fishing alongside Grandpa Kenny in familiar hometown waters. This chapter focuses on teaching core gameplay mechanics, getting your first equipment, and preparing for the adventure ahead. It’s about those first casts, those patient moments by the local pond, and gearing up for leaving home.

Chapter 2: Up North Adventures

The journey continues to northern lakes and rivers with more challenging fishing environments. You’ll master advanced techniques, unlock better fishing rods, and learn to catch more elusive fish. This is where the real skill-building happens.

Chapter 3: Beneath the Ice

Winter brings a whole new way to fish. Ice fishing introduces patience on another level—drilling holes, setting up huts, even riding snowmobiles across frozen lakes. The cold, snowy landscapes will test everything you’ve learned.

Chapter 4: Lines at Sea

Time to leave the shore behind. You’ll learn to navigate boats, master deep-sea fishing techniques, and explore coastal waters. This chapter opens up the world, preparing you for adventures beyond the familiar.

Chapter 5: Tropic Tides

The ultimate fishing adventure takes you to tropical waters. Beyond traditional fishing, you’ll experience diving and spearfishing in crystal-clear waters. It’s the culmination of your journey from small-town angler to world-traveling fishing master.
